Position Overview: Ursuline Academy of Dallas is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Development
to join the Office of Development. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this key team member will be responsible for helping to meet the Academy’s annual, operational fundraising goals as set by the President and Chief Development Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
● In collaboration with the Senior Director of Development, implement strategies for meeting annual, operational fundraising goals, including the Ursuline Fund and scholarship needs.
● Manage the Annual Giving campaigns for all constituencies: parents, alumnae, parent of alumnae, grandparents, friends and employees. Assist with recruiting, training, and managing volunteer teams. Collaborate with the Director of Alumnae Relations for the alumnae campaign.
● Manage and execute events related to these campaigns, with support from the Events and Operations Manager.
● Implement communications and solicitation strategies for annual campaigns.
● Manage a portfolio of donors, overseeing all steps of the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship cycle. Document all activities and constituent contacts.
● Partner with Development and Communications team members to ensure coordinated and timely communications with constituents.
● Prepare annual analyses of fundraising results to evaluate the effectiveness of the annual campaign.
● Some evening and weekend work required.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· A minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a preference for independent school or higher education experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, donors, and volunteers.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
· Experience with fundraising software and donor databases preferred.
