| Scholarships Thanks to the generosity of its donors, Ursuline Academy is able to provide need-based scholarships to deserving students who qualify for financial assistance. Scholarships are also available to recognize exemplary levels of academic excellence, leadership or service. The financial need of Ursuline families has increased significantly in the challenging economy of recent years. With growing support, the Academy is making progress in addressing this need. Ursuline's current scholarship endowment is approximately $6.7 million. The school's goal is to increase this endowment to at least $10 million by the end of the decade. In 2007-08, approximately $858,000 will be awarded in financial assistance and merit awards to 172 young women, approximately 21 percent of the student body. Four types of scholarships are awarded annually: Financial Assistance Awards, Merit Awards (academic), Special Achievement Awards (leadership and community service), and Alumnae Leadership Awards.
