Counseling The goal of Counseling at Ursuline Academy is to meet the individual needs of every student, from academic counseling and life skills education to college placement. In the process, a key objective is to develop and maintain a strong sense of partnership between the student with her family and the counselors over all four years. Counseling services are provided through two departments, Personal Counseling and College Counseling. The Personal Counseling department supports the academic success of all students through advising on course selection and planning. The department conducts a life skills guidance program dealing with topics from stress management and problem-solving to relationship building. The Personal Counselors also assist with the school-wide advisory program, which connects every student to a personal advisor throughout the four years. The College Counseling department strives to assist each student in achieving a successful match for her undergraduate education. The College Counselors also work continuously with college and university admissions offices to heighten their awareness of the high caliber of the Ursuline Academy student body, curriculum, and programs.
