French Students Win Awards at Regional Competition

On Saturday, March 2, 16 Ursuline students participated with almost 700 of their peers from around the region in the Fête Française.

Mme. Suzy Grossman and Mme. Amy Gilchrist chaperoned students who competed in a variety of events for individual awards, as well as for the Individual Sweepstakes awards given for students’ cumulative points in all events. This annual event is sponsored by the North Texas chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French, and was held at Plano Senior High School.

We are very proud of all our participants, and are happy to announce the that the following students were recognized for their achievements!

At level 2A (2nd year of study, no outside exposure to French):

At level 2B (2nd year of study, some outside exposure to French):

Additional academic event participants at Level 3A were Pre-AP students Lane Bogar ’14 and Lauren Fisher ’14.
