We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Lunch With A View will feature Emmy Award-winning musician and noted author, Peter Buffett. Mr. Buffett has an acclaimed career that spans more than 30 years as a professional musician, composer, philanthropist and author. He began his career as the musical mind behind many of the early MTV bumpers of the ’80s and the climactic crescendo in the memorable “Fire Dance” scene in 1990’s Oscar winning film Dances with Wolves. Peter has released more than 15 records to date and has been signed to such labels as Narada, Epic and Hollywood Records.

Also, Buffett’s inspiring New York Times best-selling book, Life Is What You Make It, was released in paperback in May 2011. To bring the message of the book alive, Buffett has crafted A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett, a live performance featuring Buffett on piano with cellist Michael Kott.  The event incorporates multi-media and personal stories to give the audience an authentic, inspirational, and impactful experience.

 

Created as an annual fundraising event for scholarships, Ursuline's speaker series Lunch with a View is designed to bring members of the Dallas business and professional community together each year to hear from remarkable individuals, thought-leaders, and role models. All proceeds benefit need-based financial assistance for young women students at Ursuline Academy.
