Sr. Margaret Ann Moser, O.S.U.
President – Ursuline Academy of Dallas

Sister Margaret Ann Moser, O.S.U., is a leading educator with experience in teaching and administration spanning more than four decades.  She has served as President of Ursuline Academy since 1989 and is a member of the Board of Trustees.  Her distinguished career in education includes teaching and administrative positions with Ursuline schools in St. Louis and in New Orleans, where she also worked with the Archdiocese in religious education, including retreats and spiritual direction.

A native Dallasite, Sr. Margaret Ann is a graduate of Ursuline Academy of Dallas, where she attended both elementary and high school. She received a B.A. in History from the College of New Rochelle, New York, and earned her M.A. in Theology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.

Sister was an elementary teacher at schools in Texas, Louisiana, and Missouri.  She has been principal of two schools, St. Peter School in St. Louis and St. Angela Merici School in New Orleans.  In addition, she has served as Associate Director of Religious Education with the Office of Religious Education in Springfield, Illinois, and in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  In New Orleans her responsibilities also included service on school evaluation teams.

As President, Sister Margaret Ann is responsible for furthering the mission of Ursuline Academy in collaboration with the Principal and Academy Administrative Team. As chief executive officer, she is responsible for general management of the Academy, including personnel and budget, educational and development programs, strategic planning, business affairs, and facilities.

Sister Margaret Ann directs a wide variety of development programs in partnership with an outstanding volunteer community. She led a successful $10 million capital campaign from 1993-2000 to fund campus expansion and improvements, including addition of the Jane Neuhoff Athletic Center (1996), and the Ursuline Center for Performing Arts (2000). Under her leadership, the Academy is now preparing to fund strategic plan goals for campus renewal, including construction of the new French Family Science, Math, and Technology Center, and major growth in endowments.

She is currently a member of the Board at St. Alcuin Montessori School, Dallas, and the Board of Advisors for St. Joseph Village, Coppell, Texas. She is a former member of the Boards of Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart (K-12), Houston, Texas, the former Springfield College, Illinois, and Ursuline Academy, New Orleans.

Elizabeth Bourgeois
Principal

Elizabeth Bourgeois joined Ursuline Academy of Dallas as Principal in 2000 and is also a member of the Board of Trustees. She came to Ursuline having previously served as a teacher and administrator at Ursuline Academy of Dallas and at Ursuline schools in New Orleans, Galveston, Laredo, and Alton, IL. In addition to her teaching and school administrative experience, Ms. Bourgeois worked for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas from 1994 - 2000, in campaign development, agency relations and public policy.

Ms. Bourgeois is a graduate of the College of New Rochelle, New York, with a B.A. in Classical Literature. She received a Masters Degree in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

As Principal, Ms. Bourgeois is the educational leader of Ursuline Academy, directly responsible for the daily operation of the school and the teaching-learning process. Along with the President, she is a facilitator of the community of faith and bears responsibility for the integration of faith and culture within Ursuline Academy. She maintains a close working relationship with the President, the faculty, staff and students, as well as parents and the community at large.

Working with a talented team of faculty and staff, Ms. Bourgeois is responsible for achieving the mission of Ursuline Academy by developing a school strong in academic achievement, counseling and guidance services, and programs to meet the co-curricular and extra-curricular needs of the students.

Elizabeth Bourgeois is active at Holy Trinity parish where she has served on the school Board and on various committees. She is a member of the Dallas Women's Council and the League of Women Voters of Dallas. She is a past member of the Board of Trustees of Springfield College (IL), St. Teresa High School (Decatur, IL), and Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and formerly served as a member of the Advisory Board of St. Joseph Hospital (Alton, IL). She enjoys tennis, travel and reading.
